Welcome to the Control Laboratory website of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the American University of Beirut. The Control Lab is located in the Raymond Ghosn Building, in the second floor, Room 207.

In this laboratory students learn the fundamentals of control theory. The lab has been lately upgraded with 10 state of the art control stations each having NI Data Acquisition System, ELVIS Educational station and Quanser DC Motor kit. The lab is also equipped by an Inverted Pendulum Station and an HVAC control Station for research and development purposes. The Lab contains also 9 stations with Comdyna GP6 analog computers to realize and test different analog controllers.
This lab is used for research in advanced control algorithms, industrial and building automation. The related courses to this lab are: EECE460 - Control Systems, EECE660 - System analysis and Design, EECE662 - Optimal Control, and EECE665 - Adaptive Control.
