The course investigates Modern Architecture in Lebanon, mainly in the 1950s and 1960s, shedding a light on a vibrant period that produced a distinctive local version of modernism. The course covers aspects such as architectural education, the organization of the profession, patronage, competitions, collaborations, and the various meanings given to modernity and tradition.
