Extracurricular Activities 2005-2006

Civil Engineering Society (CES)
The activities of the Civil Engineering Society (CES) during 2005-06 consisted of: recruitment and organization of elections for CES Committee in October 2005. The elected members were: Mazen Rammal (4th year), Patrick Mattar and Marc Aoun (3rd year), Fouad Howayek (2nd year), and Samar Estephan (1st year); Nadim Azar (2nd year) joined later during the year. A Logo for the CES was designed and adopted. The CES along with other students societies at FEA organized the Annual Ramadan Iftar in November 2006, a Spring Start dinner at Diwan Al-Sultan in March 2006, and a “Tarnib and Tawle” competition during Spring 2006. The activities of the CES culminated with the co-organization of the first Civil Engineering Summer

Camp in June 2006 (reported later).

Civil Engineering Gala
The Civil Engineering Gala Dinner is an annual tradition in the department when the CEE family, students, staff, faculty, and friends, get together to celebrate the end of the year. The event is mainly organized by 4th year students and is an occasion to bid them farewell for graduation. The event includes special activities and a dinner. The Gala of 2006 took place in Royal Hotel, Debayeh, in June 2006.
