A course that introduces the fundamentals of environmental engineering. A course that introduces the basic principles of environmental microbiology and discusses example applications from the natural and engineered worlds. The main goals of this course are to present an overview of important microorganisms involved in environmental systems, their ecology, their interactions with various pollutants, and their beneficial or harmful effects on humans.
