CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT POSITION
The Engineering Management Program at the American University
of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon, invites applications for a position at the
Assistant Professor level, to begin in Fall 2010; candidates at more senior
levels may also be considered. The program awards a Master of Engineering
Management degree, and it is housed in the Faculty of Engineering &
Architecture (FEA). Additional information about the Faculty and the Program is

The search is open to candidates with expertise in
construction engineering and project management with research interests in
areas including: sustainable construction project development and management,
construction labor and human resource management, construction cost estimation
and control, and construction contracts and alternative disputes resolution
methods.
Those applying for this position should have the desire to
excel, both in teaching and research, in an interdisciplinary work environment.
Applicants should have: (a) Ph.D. degree in construction engineering and
project management or a related field, (b) the ability to teach at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels, (c) the ability to supervise applied
research at the graduate level, and (d) a willingness to develop an active
program of research with funding from academic and industrial entities.
