The Environmental Engineering Research Center (EERC) and Environmental Laboratories occupy an area of about 350 square meters. The Environmental lab facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and analytical instruments that can investigate chemical, physical and biological contaminants associated with water, air, and solid wastes. In addition to the departmental facilities, collaborative arrangements can be made to make use of more sophisticated equipment or other conventional equipment housed in the inter-faculty Central Environmental Core Laboratory. Recent lab acquisitions included an Anaerobic Digestion Apparatus, an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, a Total Carbon and Inorganic Carbon Analyzer, and a Total Nitrogen Analysis System
