FEA Labs and Centers / Radio Frequency and Mobile Communication Laboratory (RFMC)

The RFMC laboratory is currently located in Raymond Ghoson Building on the bottom floor. It is equipped with state of the art equipment for RF generation demodulation and analysis. The laboratory’s consortium of equipment includes Vector Signal Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Impedance Analyzers, S-Parameter Measurement Equipment, Power meters, Calibration Sets, Attenuators, as well as Spectrum Analyzers with frequencies up to 26.5 GHz. Some of this equipment is loaded with standard demodulation techniques and measurement personalities for GSM, Bluetooth, and Conventional Modulation Measurements. The laboratory will also be equipped in the near future with a state of the art Signal generator with a variety of modulation techniques as well as a noise source and a fading channel simulator. This laboratory is used by undergraduate courses taking RF courses as well as Mobile Communication courses. This facility is also used by graduates to conduct research in the relevant fields.
