Graphic Design Computer laboratories
are part of FEA undergraduate computer Labs, located
in the western side of Bechtel bldg Wing B.
This Lab was started in 1993 in LAB 4, Room 202 having
completely different computer hardware and operating
system than other labs .
1993 20 Apple Quadra 650 computers
connected to one Apple Quadra 950 server, A3 Laser
printer, scanner, PLI backup media, color inkjet printer,
digitizer tablet.
1997 1 Power Macintosh 7300 was added
to Lab.
1998 20 Apple i-MAC G3 plus one G3
server replaced old Quadra computers.
2004 22 Apple e-MAC computers replaced
old iMac,
10 Apple Power Mac G5 with new color A3 color laser,
allocated in a new lab
LAB 7 room 307.
GD Students use labs for Core Courses applications such
as Computer Graphic, interactive media design and WEB
design sessions having full access to all available
facilities, running software, editing, scanning, printing,
data backup browsing Internet, Email, and making all
assigned reports and projects.
Labs are equipped with all teaching facilities in addition
to LCD projection and used also for students on line
registration, Seminars, and training workshops.
Graphic Design Lab I
(LAB 4, Room 202 Area 48.75 m):
10 Apple G5 and 5 e-Mac total 15 computers networked
to AUB LAN, connected to shared A3 color Laser Printer,
A4 Laser printer ,and Scanner .
Part of installed software: Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator, After Effects, Image Ready, In Design,
Director, Microsoft office, Dream weaver, & Lime
wire.
Graphic Design Lab II (LAB 7 Room 307
Area 48.75 m):
17 Apple e-Mac Computers networked to AUB LAN and connected
to shared A3 color Laser Printer ,A4 Laser printer,
and A4 Scanner.
Part of installed software: Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator, After Effects, In Design, Director, and
Quark Express, Microsoft office, Suitcase and I-photo.
