JREIJE. The ability of a clothing system to allow dry and evaporative heat transfer is important factor in determining its suitability for wearing in a given thermal environment. This factor is particularly important when a person has a high activity level and is subjected to heat stress. In this work, detailed theoretical modeling of the effect of ventilation on the clothing thermal system was derivedand verified experimentally. The results of the model provided an assessment tool of the affect of clothed human motion in relation to occupant thermal comfort taking into consideration the touch that occurs between the clothing fabric and the skin
