Master of Mechanical Engineering, Major: Applied Energy

The Applied Energy Program at the Department of Mechanical Engineering is revived by the support of an EC project.

The Innovative Curriculum on Sustainable Energy (ICOSE) is a Joint European Project (JEP) funded by the European Commission's TEMPUS program. The goal of this project is to initiate and strengthen education in the areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency in buildings in order to graduate professional leaders in the field who can meet market needs of Lebanon in sustainable energy development, cleaner energy production, and efficient energy practices.

> APPLIED ENERGY PROGRAM

There is a marked need to enhance environmental sustainability in Lebanon by strengthening the educational capacity in the areas of energy efficiency in buildings and renewable energy technologies. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is offering the degree titled Master of Mechanical Engineering; Major: Applied Energy. The master degree program in applied energy content is aligned with current emphasis on sustainable energy in an attempt to meet the needs of Lebanon and the region. The Applied Energy Program design is consistent with AUB policies for graduate studies and is compliant with Bologna process credit system requirements for a master degree with thesis.
