Welcome to the Power Electronics Laboratory website of the Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the American University
of Beirut. The Power Electronics Lab is located in the Raymond Ghosn
Building, in the first floor, Room 106.
This lab is used to teach and conduct research in low speed drives
and power electronics. Experiment are performed using the discrete
electronic components or power electronic trainer by companies like
Terco. This laboratory is being upgraded this year, to house a number
of DC and AC drives and new research setups with sophisticated measuring
devices. These setups will allow the students to conduct advanced
research in power electronics and drive applications. The related
courses to this lab are: EECE473 - Power Electronics, and EECE474
– Electric Drives.
Feel free to send us feedback about the website and the Lab to
