Welcome to the Power Systems Laboratory website of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the American University of Beirut. The Power Systems Lab is located in the Raymond Ghosn Building, in the First floor, Room 106.

Students learn in the Power Systems Laboratory about the characteristic data of transmission lines, voltage drop and power losses, the steady state operation of a generator connected to a large electric system, and the stability limits of electric power systems. The laboratory has hardware system models and features software programs to carry out steady state and fault analysis of electrical power systems based on geographic information systems (GIS). The related courses to this lab are: EECE471 - Fundamentals of Power Systems Analysis, EECE470 – Power System Planning, and EECE677 - Electric Power System Operation and Control.

Feel free to send us feedback about the website and the Lab to gd00@aub.edu.lb. Thank you for visiting!
